We replaced the sleeping pad with a sandwich mattress. The pot with a stove, the canteen with a tank and pump. And fitted it all into a box on four wheels. We don't belong in the box of motorhomes and caravans. We reference the traditions of tramping, building on its raw emotions.

Comfort that doesn't restrict
Nestbox camping modules are the result of our search for what travel should look like: comfort that doesn't tie you down. We've been offering it since 2016. We were the first in the Czech Republic to enter the home-made segment with a full-fledged product.
The brief was to fit everything into the boot of a regular car – no assembly, drilling, or modifications. Just insert and go. The equipment requirements sounded simple. The module had to allow for full-fledged sleeping for two people and offer a kitchen with a stove, sink, and storage space.

First generation of Nest modules
It took two years. To find suitable materials and technologies, resolve technical details and test everything in the trunks of dozens of cars of various sizes. We also dealt with conflicting demands for maximum durability and reasonable weight. The first generation of Nestbox modules was born.
Nest of modern tramping

A solution for everyone
But the first product was really just the beginning. We could bring the magic of modern overlanding to owners of larger MPVs and panel vans. What about everything else? Mid-size MPVs, off-road vehicles, compact estate cars? We got inside them with a tape measure.
More Campingbox types gradually joined the Nestbox family — and they differed in more than just dimensions. For off-road vehicles we developed an even more robust frame; for smaller cars we rethought the construction methods entirely. And we kept refining everything along the way. The current third generation of Nestbox Campingbox was shaped by the experience of thousands of owners — pioneers of modern overlanding.
